Patients from Biloxi travel a short distance to our D’Iberville office for spider vein treatment. The Vein Institute is home to South Mississippi's only 100%, full-time, board-certified vein specialist, and we welcome patients from Biloxi and nearby communities.
Minimally invasive treatment to reduce the visibility of small, thread-like veins on the legs and feet.
Dr. J. Keith Thompson most often treats spider veins with sclerotherapy, injecting a solution directly into the vein that causes it to collapse and gradually fade from view. Larger feeder (reticular) veins contributing to the spider veins can be addressed in the same series of treatments.

Every patient's needs are different, but on average most patients require a minimum of 4–6 sclerotherapy sessions.
Sclerotherapy requires a series of injections, and multiple sessions are often needed to achieve the full result — one round is generally not enough to clear all visible veins.
