VenaSeal Treatment for Biloxi, MS Patients

Patients from Biloxi travel a short distance to our D’Iberville office for venaseal treatment. The Vein Institute is home to South Mississippi's only 100%, full-time, board-certified vein specialist, and we welcome patients from Biloxi and nearby communities.

What Is VenaSeal?

A vein ablation option that uses a medical adhesive to seal a diseased vein shut.

VenaSeal™ uses a medical adhesive delivered through a thin catheter to seal a diseased vein shut. It's one of the vein ablation options Dr. J. Keith Thompson offers, chosen based on each patient's vein anatomy and treatment goals.

Who This Helps

Biloxi patients often come to the Vein Institute with one or more of these symptoms or questions about venaseal:

  • Varicose veins caused by a refluxing (diseased) vein
  • Patients who want to avoid wearing compression stockings for an extended period after treatment

How It Works & Recovery

At your consultation, you'll meet with your provider to talk through your symptoms and history. If an ultrasound is needed to map the affected veins, our Certified Vascular Sonographer can often perform it during the same visit, and you'll be given a treatment plan based on the results.

VenaSeal does not require tumescent (fluid) anesthesia the way some heat-based ablations do, and most patients return to normal activity quickly after the in-office procedure.

Why Biloxi Patients Choose The Vein Institute

From Biloxi, our D’Iberville office is approx. 5 mi (about 5 min). We built the Vein Institute around a simple idea: patients deserve a comfortable, one-on-one conversation with their provider, not a rushed appointment. That's the experience Biloxi patients can expect at D’Iberville.

Our clinical team includes a double board-certified vascular surgeon, a Certified Vascular Sonographer with more than 18 years of vein ultrasound experience, and a Nurse Practitioner trained directly by Dr. Thompson in sclerotherapy — all focused exclusively on vein care.

The D’Iberville clinic at 3950 Promenade Parkway, Ste E, D'Iberville, MS 39540 is approx. 5 mi (about 5 min) from Biloxi. It's one of three Vein Institute locations across South Mississippi, so you're never far from board-certified vein care.
