Spider Vein Treatment for Enterprise, MS Patients

For Enterprise residents dealing with vein concerns, the Vein Institute's Meridian location offers spider vein treatment in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Every visit starts with a one-on-one conversation with your provider about your specific symptoms and goals.

What Is Spider Veins?

Minimally invasive treatment to reduce the visibility of small, thread-like veins on the legs and feet.

Dr. J. Keith Thompson most often treats spider veins with sclerotherapy, injecting a solution directly into the vein that causes it to collapse and gradually fade from view. Larger feeder (reticular) veins contributing to the spider veins can be addressed in the same series of treatments.

Who This Helps

Enterprise patients often come to the Vein Institute with one or more of these symptoms or questions about spider veins:

  • Thin, web-like red, blue, or purple veins near the skin's surface
  • Mild aching or burning over visible veins
  • Veins that appear to worsen or spread over time
  • Discomfort after long periods of standing

How It Works & Recovery

At your consultation, you'll meet with your provider to talk through your symptoms and history. If an ultrasound is needed to map the affected veins, our Certified Vascular Sonographer can often perform it during the same visit, and you'll be given a treatment plan based on the results.

There is little to no downtime after sclerotherapy. Patients typically wear compression garments for a period after treatment and often need multiple sessions, spaced about three weeks apart, to reach the desired result.
